ELIZABETH USED A VARIETY OF VALSPAR SHADES, FOR SIMILAR TRY:
"I am a member of the Upcycled Hour Collective and a couple of other members had joined the paint club and found it a positive experience, which is how I first heard about it, so I decided to give it a whirl and apply.
I used Valspar wood & metal paint to upcycle a side table from being an unpainted brown to a revamped brightly coloured creation. I found the quality great - nice smooth, thick (but not too thick) paint. My trademark painting style involves creating an ombré effect - i.e blending one colour to another across my pieces - and I found that the Valspar paint worked really well for creating this graduated effect.
I used 3 colours - a bright green, a dark green, and a deep purple. I found that not only did the 2 green shades blend/graduate well, but the dark green to purple did too, which was great, and just what I was aiming for.
I'm very pleased with the results and would recommend Valspar to friends. In addition to the quality I was firstly impressed with the range of colours available in my local B&Q (2,000!), which enabled me to pick the exact shade that I wanted (even with not knowing exactly which shades I wanted when I walked in to the shop). I was also impressed with the vibrancy of the colours - I am drawn to using bright, bold and vivid colours in my work, and the Valspar paint fulfilled my brief for this perfectly."
