I'd wholeheartedly recommend Valspar's Primer and Wood and Metal paint to anyone wanting to use a 'grown-up' paint.
"I'm always on the search for something new to try paint-wise, I'd noticed a few of my contemporaries singing the praises of Valspar. I checked out the website and realised Valspar offered the chance to join the Paint Club, giving you an opportunity to try the paint and have your work featured if you were selected.
Until then, Rustoleum furniture paint had been my paint of choice but the custom colours offered by Valspar won me over in the mixing aisle at B&Q. What an array!
You can almost get away with a single coat of the Wood and Metal paint as the coverage is just wonderful. It can be easily mixed with other colours and dilutes wonderfully if you have a porous surface and don't want/have time to prime. Cleaning equipment after use is no effort at all (even with the Wood and Metal paint) because it's water-based and can all be rinsed away in the kitchen sink.
As an asthma-sufferer, I struggle with some paints. Some of the low VOC paints on offer have a limited palette, but Valspar and its seemingly endless rainbow offerings of shade and tone has been kind to me and my lungs.
I'd wholeheartedly recommend Valspar's Primer and Wood and Metal paint to anyone wanting to use a 'grown-up' paint. And unlike chalk paint, it rubs down and recovers beautifully, meaning you can change your colour-scheme whenever the mood takes you!"
